Nicole graduated from Portland State University and has since continued her education in STEM, the Arts and Child Development. Nicole began her teaching career in the Kindergarten classroom and has been a K-8th educator for the past 25 years. Her background in teaching ranges from Special Education, Music, Drama, Physical Education, Engineering, Art Education, STEM and a mainstream teacher for K-5th Elementary Classrooms. Nicole has been a leader and innovator of Art Integration and STEM throughout her teaching career. When Nicole is not working at YCL, she enjoys traveling, building LEGOs and playing Catan with her two boys, and spending time with family and friends.
Noah began teaching STEM and LEGO Robotics with his mom, Nicole, at C.S. Lewis Academy He completed the coaches training through ORTOP for LEGO Robotics. Noah received the Sustainability Award and Asian Studies Focus Award when graduating from Portland Community College. Noah graduated from George Fox University at the top of his class with a BA in Illustration and Animation. For the past year, Noah has taught STEAM and been a K-5th grade substitute teacher at MITCH Charter School. Noah has continued his art education through hands-on application in Branding, Social Media, Animation and Illustration.
Tera began her teaching career in 2022 as part of Club K Afterschool Zone and later as a teacher for Fine Art Starts. For 8 years, they worked as a Freelance Artist, creating digital illustrations and animations for a variety of independent or collaborative projects. In 2021, Tera graduated from Laguna College of Art and Design with a BFA in animation. In Tera's pastime, she leads a Dungeons & Dragons campaign with her friends. Tera is an amazing artist and enjoys helping others improve their talent.
